Quilt Notes: Mini Blog 030 2026

Hi Friends

This week I'm writing more of an update letter than a full blog. Yep, this is coming directly from my phone as we have no internet in the house or studio. The studio is completely torn apart, check out the short impromptu videos to follow along. It's Sunday morning, breakfast is over (I actually used Door Dash to deliver egg bites from Starbucks (there is a first time for everything)) and the last coat of paint is on the walls. Time for a shower and then a little road trip to Home Depot. I'll be dropping a short video for that in the next few hours. Then we return home and start ripping out floors. I'm a little nervous, but we watched all the videos, read all the instructions and called solid waste disposal to come take away the old carpet, so there is nothing more to do than jump in and work the plan. Please send good vibes, prayers, positive energy, anything is appreciated. I'll be laying the floor and Dave will be cutting. If by 6pm I have a new studio floor this will have been a HUGE accomplishment. I wish this were all that was left, but alas we have to build in there cabinets and move everything into is new home. Completion will take the rest of this coming week, but that ok as I gave myself two weeks for the task. I'm already sore, tired and living with a low level consistent anxiety, plus I've re-pulled my groin injury from earlier in the year(it will be fine, but I'm just laying it all out

there). Just in case you are thinking of remodeling your space, get help when you can, it's worthy every penny.
