It’s been a full, lively, wonderfully creative stretch of days, and the studio feels like it’s humming with that special kind of pre‑show energy — the kind where ideas, samples, tools, and teaching all seem to be happening at once.

A Quiet Moment at the Design Desk

This morning started with a snapshot of my design desk — the place where so many BAQ ideas begin their life. It looks a mess, but it’s really a mix of sketches, measurements, tiny stitched samples, tools, and the everyday working pieces that support my design flow. It’s a little window into the world where new the products, booth layouts, and class materials take shape. This area is the heartbeat of the studio.

Peek-A-Boo - What do you see?

I wanted to share a little sneak peek with you all — a glimpse at some of the new product creations debuting in Wisconsin. Yesterday’s photo of the angled samples seemed to click your curiosity buttons on Instagram, so I thought it deserved a place here too.

It’s been over 100°F for weeks on end, and having an indoor project has been a blessing. These product creations have been my summer companion — something bright, creative, and full of anticipation. I’m so excited to share all of these new things with you, and I’ll be doing just that at our Pre‑Launch Party in a few weeks.

Our Foundation - Your Master Class

And then there’s the Your Master Class series —This week we posted the week 2 class all about the hardworking square segment. It may be the easiest segment, but it is also one of the hardest working segments we have when quilting.

Working with the new Brother PE900 in the Master Class series has been such a joy. It’s been fun showing how smoothly it handles all the BAQ shapes and techniques. And the way it stitches with such confidence makes segment creation feel effortless — like the machine is right there with me, cheering us on. It’s been a bright spot in the studio these past few weeks, and I’m excited to keep exploring what it can do as we move through the rest of the series.

I’ve loved hearing from so many of you this week. Your notes, your excitement, and especially your questions for next week’s Q&A have been wonderful. It’s clear you’re enjoying the Master Classes, and I’m thrilled to see how you’re engaging with the material and bringing your curiosity right to my inbox.
