Good morning, friends — and happy Sunday.

   Before we head out to exchange a very uncooperative greenhouse fan (brand new, defective, and held together with the strangest screws I’ve ever seen), I wanted to share a quick studio update.

One of the things I’m most excited about from this week’s Checkers order is something small but mighty: pre‑wound DecoBob 80wt bobbins in Dove Grey.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I recommend DecoBob 80wt for all Build A Quilt piecing — it’s strong, fine, and lets your seams lie beautifully flat. Now I’m trying the matching pre‑wound bobbins in the same Dove Grey, and friends… this is a game changer.

Using the same thread in the top and the bobbin gives you perfect thread balance, cleaner stitches, and fewer tension surprises. I snapped a quick photo this morning because the color match is just so satisfying — that soft neutral grey works with everything.

I’ll be carrying these in the shop soon, and I'll posting a short video today with a fun little giveaway for the first five people who jump in later this evening (our road trip to exchange the fan is moving the schedule around a bit). I know you'll want to try these little beauties!
