Happy Sunday, friends. Quilt Notes is where I gather the heartbeats of our community each week—new members, new blocks, creative discoveries, and the stories that make Build A Quilt and Quilt Lab feel like home. March is Quilt Lab Founders Month, and the energy inside Quilt Lab has me so excited. I’m so glad you’re here to celebrate with us.
Member Spotlight -
I love to highlight quilters from our community whose creativity, kindness, or curiosity inspires me. This week, I’m thrilled to introduce…

"Hi my name is Rose, I have been a member of Build A Quilt since February 2023 and Diana has taught me a lot about piecing in the hoop. I used to prefer the quilting part of the process and describe myself as an adequate piecer until piecing in the hoop came along. I love using my embroidery machine for making the quilt blocks. I have been sewing and quilting for over 20 years. I retired in 2019 and as a retirement gift for myself I upgraded my embroidery machine. I have four grandchildren and have made quilts for each of them. I have joined two quilt guilds since retirement and enjoy using my embroidery machine for piecing. I have watched many Build A Quilt videos and especially enjoyed the videos on the color cards and the Riley Blake Block of the Month series. I have used many of the segment pieces to make a variety of different quilt blocks."
Thank you for sharing your story, Rose. Indeed, Rose has been a steadfast member of Build A Quilt and Quilt Lab from the beginning and it seems only right that you all should meet her. Rose has recently challenged me to think about something in a new way and I love that. Just as Build A Quilt started with a challenge from friends, Build A Quilt continues to grow because of all of you. Thanks Rose, I'm so happy to have you as part of the Build A Quilt community.
Don't be shy! If you would like to share your quilting story with us please contact me at support@sewincommon.com. I'll send you a few questions to help inspire you and we will
schedule for a future blog post.
🎉 Celebrating Our Newest Founding Members
Every Sunday, I’ll continue celebrating our newest Quilt Lab Founding Members with a dedicated welcome post and graphic. These will continue through 3/31/26. At that time this Sunday Post will become something all new and exciting. Please indulge me as that announcement is still a secret, but I will be announcing it soon.

🧪 What’s New in the world of Build A Quilt This Week
Here at Build A Quilt, we’re stitching through two new blocks this week. Block #22 of the
24 Block Challenge and SkillBuilder Block 003 (part of the Quilt Lab: Quilter's Creative Home. Whether you’re following the SkillBuilder path, the 24‑Block Challenge, or both,
these blocks are designed to stretch your skills just a little while keeping the process joyful.

This is Block 22 - it is a classic Churn Dash Block and one that every quilter should be able to create. Watch the video by clicking the photo and you'll also find out why I love this block so much. It has a Quilting Superpower.
SkillBuilder Blocks are a great way to advance your knowledge in many aspects of quilting and the Build A Quilt method. This month's SkillBuilder is all about the power in using one very special segment block, the Modified HST. Catch the video by clicking on the photo.
Founders Month Reminder - March is Quilt Lab Founders Month, and it’s the only time to join Quilt Lab as a Founding Member. If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, this is your moment to jump in, learn the BAQ technique, join our private community, and grow alongside a group of encouraging, creative quilters. Through 3/31/26 you have the opportunity to join Quilt Lab: Quilter's Creative Home at a 15% discount for the first year. Just use the code - FOUNDER15 at checkout. And Finally,
Thank you for being part of this growing, generous community. Every week, I’m reminded how lucky I am to create alongside you. Until next week—keep stitching, keep experimenting, and Quilt Life Beautiful....
